smartLAB pedometer with data transfer Bluetooth Smart / ANT+

Important note for Android users with Bluetooth Smart transmission

With the latest Android versions (usually from Android 6.0) there are connection problems with Bluetooth Smart. There seems to be a general problem with data transfer from Bluetooth Smart to Android, which we have no influence on.

It is often the case that data transfer of the smartLAB product to an Android smartphone from 6.0 indicates problems.

Turning on the GPS function solves the problem of data transmission. Once you turn on Bluetooth and GPS, from our experience, data transfer works without any problems.

Why is the smartLAB device not or not correctly displayed in my Bluetooth overview? Why is there no connection?

The smartLAB products are not connected via the Bluetooth settings of the mobile device, but directly via the respective app. If you are using an app that supports the connection of the respective smartLAB product, go to the device connection or device settings of the app and pair the app and smartLAB device via this way. If a connection is not possible, please contact our support team.

An overview of various apps that works with our smartLAB products can be found here.

smartLAB move: What does the blinking of the 3 LEDs mean when I tap the smartLAB® move twice?

First, the battery status appears. When all LEDs are lit, it means that the battery is full. Lights 2 LEDs means that the battery is half full.

If 1 LED lights up, this means that the battery is quarterly full. If all LEDs flash quickly, then the battery should be replaced.

After that, the status of the daily goal appears. Red means: You are far from your daily goal. Yellow means: close to the target. Green means: daily goal achieved.

smartLAB move: How can I initiate a manual transfer of the data with my smartLAB® move?

If you tap the device twice, battery and daily destination statuses appear first. After that, a data transfer is started. You must be near your gateway or mobile receiving device for the data to be successfully transferred.

Important note for iOS users

To enable data transfer, the HMM app used (fitmefit move or hLine app) must be active and running in the foreground. As long as the app is open, your mobile device won't go into standby mode.

smartLAB move: What does the flashing red LED under the smartLAB® move logo mean?

This means that data transmission is taking place. You can turn off the flashing function under the device's settings. For more information about setting the devices, refer to your device's User's Guide.

smartLAB move: Which settings can I make on the smartLAB® move?

When setting the smartLAB® move devices, you can choose whether you want to display the status of the daily destinations, or whether you want the red LED under the logo to flash when data is transferred.  To do this, go to Devices via Profile and select the appropriate device by clicking the serial number. Here you can now go to the settings options.
